Dec motor at high speed slew = 730mA
RA motor at high speed slew = 640mA
Both motors at high speed = 1600mA peak

Sleep Telescope mode = 10mA

Meade recommends the #547 AC adapter. From my point of view any regulated AC adapter rated at 3Ah that can be adapted to fit the power connector should do fine with the LXD55 series. Lower than that might cause the Autostar to generate errors especially during GOTO operations since this is when the most current is drawn from the power source.
